How can one Organization BE CERTIFIED?

Certification of Organizations by the European Yoga Federation (EYF)
 

One of the most important goals of the EYF is to create a true Yoga community in Europe. It is under this prospect that the Pedagogical Committee is created, made up of masters with genuine experience who represent several countries members of the Federation.

The Pedagogical Committee is constantly reviewing and updating the programmes that should be fulfilled in the centers & schools where the Yoga teacher's training is given. The said programmes respect all lines and styles and are set up taking into account the idiosyncracy of each and every lineage, tradition and the inherited teachings, as well as the personal experiences.

The European Yoga Federation is the official organization recognized by the World Movement for Yoga to confer the necessary Certifications which guarantee the Training given in the european schools.

To obtain the EYF Certification, the school, center, association or organization must comply with the following requirements: 

  • It should achieve the minimums standards fixed by the EYF for the Teachers Training Courses.

  • For the said Courses the certified center should have the presence and participation of Certified Senior Formateurs during at least 20% of the training hours. The said participation guarantees the teachings and monitorization of the courses according with the standards of the Pedagogical Committee. 

  • At the end of the courses, the schools must write up a certificate with the names and qualifications of the participating students. A duly signed & stamped copy shall be sent to the EYF office. At that time the EYF will proceed to issue the corresponding certificates.

  • The Certified Organization has the duty to affiliate the students of the Teachers Training Courses in the organization representative of the EYF in its country, or failing that, to the EYF directly.

PROCEDURES:
Those organizations, centers, associations or schools interested in the EYF CERTIFICATION should do the next:

  • Send the Yoga Teachers Training Programme by email (attention of: Pedagogical Committee) to: secretariat@europeanyogafederation.net

  • Fill & send the Application.

  • The EYF will get in contact with this organization to ask for further information if required, and will issue an answer within a period of maximum 30 days.

  • If the answer is  positive, the school will receive the Diploma & proper Recognitions once the payment of the Certified Organizations Fee becomes effective.

  • The Pedagogical Committee will get in contact with the formateurs of the said center in relation with the organization of the courses, the minutes, diplomas and affiliation of the students to the National Federations.

  • All information related with the central office, courses and other details of the said center will be listed in the Web page under the link CERTIFIED ORGANIZATIONS.

  • If the answer is negative, the school will receive the necessary suggestions to change or extend its programmes & activities. While this is done with the help of the EYF Pedagogical Committee, the said school can affiliate and be part of the European Yoga Federation.

  • Voting rights in the EYF.

  • The certified organization is allowed to use the EYF and World Movement for Yoga logo in their publications, diplomas and webs.
